Rules and evaluation

Rules

 

During this term you will have to get experience points with the different tasks with certain regulations. You can check your XP points in the leaderboard. Experience points (XP) are earned as you successfully complete assignments, projects, homework, warm-ups,etc.As you earn more XP you will be able to "Level Up". Level up equates to "going to the next level".

All the tasks will have a deadline. If you do not complete the task for that date, you will have 0 XP points.

At the end of the term you will have the opportunity to re-do 1 TASK.

 

1. All the tasks are obligatory. Tne number of XP points you can get with the different tasks will be described before doing the task.

 

2. You will have 4 units during this term. Ecosystems, Earth dynamics, Earth structure and composition of the Earth.


3. ​In each mission you will have different quests that you have to complete.  The quests are the different chapters in each unit with several activities,projects, researchs, laboratory practice... There are quests that are hidden in each mission and you will be able to do them after finishing all the activities. You will need a password.

 

4. At the end of the mission you will have to take a test. IF ALL members of your team get more than a 7 in the test all the members will get 0,5 more.

 

5. THE NOTEBOOK IS YOUR MISSION DIARY, you will have to compile not only all the activities but also the test you are going to take. Good handwriting and presentation are compulsory.

 

6. You will earn special badges during your missions and you will exchange in the shop for XP points or tokens.

 

7. Teams (SPACESHIPS) - Each candidate will be assigned to a team as there will be competition between the teams. The teams are named by each group once it is formed. Teams will compete and work together to increase achievement. Extra points will be awarded for teams that have the best mastery rate and scores on tests.  So work with your team members to prepare for tests and help each other achieve your quests.

 

Evaluation

 

Pruebas orales y escritas de cada unidad: 15%.

Trabajo diario ( Proyectos, prácticas, laboratorios, cuadernos y tareas): 40%.

Actitud: 10%.

Examen de evaluación: 35%.

 

Solo se podrá aprobar la asignatura siempre y cuando se tenga por lo menos una media de 4 en las pruebas escritas. (pruebas de evaluación y pruebas de unidad)

 

Classroom Expectations
 

1. Listen and follow directions.

2. Raise your hand to speak.

3. Keep your desk tidy.

4. You always start class and end class from your seats.

5. No one leaves class until the teacher dismisses class.

6. Keep an eye on the time. Be cleaned up and prepared to leave on time.

7. Please leave items on display or prepared for class alone.

8. Work hard to be smarter.

9. Put everything but your pen, pencil and binder on the shelf when you walk in.

10. Use edmodo to ask questions about the class.

11. Use the ipad correctly.

12. The best time to use the restroom is at the beginning of class.
