Justin has arrived to our hospital disorientated. He had to leave his last concert due to the fact that he could not hear properly and he could not see clearly the stage. He says that he has been having problems with his left hand, he has not been able to move it as usual.
You can earn 500 XP points with this case.
1. You have 2 hours to solve this case and explain Justin what is happening to him.
2. You have to complete in your notebook the following aspects of Justin´s medical record. Use the following template in your notebook.
ASPECTS TO INCLUDE:
1. (10 xp) INTRODUCTION. Read the sensory receptors from the itunes U: 4.1.1. Introduction to sense organs. And make an outline with the information you can find in the document.
2. (50 xp points) RECEPTORS. THE EYES
2.1. Check the eyes of Justin and name the parts of an eye from the drawing
2.2. Complete the functions of the different parts of the eyes
2.3. How the eye works. Describe in your notebook how the eye works.
3. (50 xp points) RECEPTORS. We have to check Justin´s ears.
3.1. Complete the diagram with the parts
3.2. Write down the function of each part
3.3. How the ear works. Describe in your notebook how the ear works
4. (50 xp points) RECEPTORS. TOUCH (SKIN), TASTE, SMELL.
4.1. Summarise in your notebook: taste, smell and touch notes from itunes U.
4.2. How do we taste? and the sensitivity of the skin. Describe both processes.
5. (100 xp points) NERVOUS SYSTEM.
It seems that Justin has a problem in his nervous system because he can not move his left hand
